HOW TO UPDATE FIRMWARE BMW ICOM NEXT


When you update the BMW ISTA diagnostic software and connect to a BMW vehicle, the connection manager will display the firmware and advise that your ICOM needs to be updated. Upgrade to the latest firmware version on your device , Download latest firmware.

To update the firmware on your BMW ICOM Next, you can follow these steps:


Connect your ICOM Next device to your computer using an Ethernet cable.


Open the ICOM Next firmware update tool on your computer. This tool can be downloaded from the BMW website or provided by your authorized BMW dealer.


Turn on your ICOM Next device by plugging it into a power source.


In the firmware update tool, select your ICOM Next device from the list of available devices.
